What is Wanita Music?
* Wanita is 'woman' in Indonesian & our sole purpose is to promote womxn in music.
* This page is dedicated to mixes put together by female DJs from around the world to promote their favourite female artists.
* Wanita started in early 2018 in Munich, Germany & now resides in London, UK.
* Pre-pandemic Wanita is also a club night, in London where DJ Jawa Jones along with guest DJs spins female-fronted music from the 50s to the 80s across a range of genres, all on vinyl.
*The Wanita Music show is a bi-monthly radio show at @Barrelhouseradio where @DJ_JawaJones invites ladies in the music biz to share their stories working in the industry & their favourite female-fronted records.
