Proud VictimAre you a proud victim? Do you know someone who is? Here are some ideas that might help our youth overcome their obsession with being a victim of a perceived microagression.1) If it wasn’t intended to offend you, then you shouldn’t be offended. It would be perfectly appropriate to let someone know you were offended as long as you do not expect them to change who they are and how they express themselves simply because life offends you.2) Being offended is a choice you make. Nobody is responsible for that choice but you. The end. I don’t have anything else to say about that.3) Even if the slight was intended and deliberate, normal functioning adults understand that they must move on and not dwell over every sideways glance or rude comment.If our youth today were to keep some of these ideas in mind, they would be a lot happier in life. But then, for the grievance mongers, I suppose happiness isn’t the goal. It’s that attention and “please notice me” that I mentioned earlier
