Mindfulness and EatingSo in this podcast I've talked some about how we think of our diets oftentimes with religious fervor. Diet and health is important to us. So how do we open our minds to other possibilities when we have everyone and their brother telling us what we should and shouldn’t eat? We start by being mindful of what we are eating and when.There is a great deal of history that goes into the science that we use to try to determine what is healthy and what is not. But we know that the science is very incomplete. And it is very mechanical. So bringing back the “soul” to our food is one step. And that means educating ourselves on the quality of our food. It also means that we stop moralizing about what someone has told us is good or bad and we start educating ourselves. Think of the gluten story.
