This show was 4th in the global folk chart.
This is not another north african folk podcast.
This is an audio montage of instrumental cuts out of arabic songs which recorded in Israel, by arab-jews musicians between 1967 and 1973 and talking about the 6 days war and yom kippur war. Those songs were selected, from my own record collection, by the artist Dor Zlekha Levy to be used in his “Songs of The Next War” project.
Few words By Dor: http://dorlevy.com/blog/
Dor honoured me and asked me to give my expression to this collection of songs. Here are my words:
The more you understand the angrier you might get
The angrier you get, the more you hate
Since the selected songs are hailing generals and wars in general
I decided to prevent the listener from understanding these songs
And not to let even one word audible
Not a word that might bring more hatress to this world
Here is the music only, without the cause to most conflicts - the language.
