Freelance Midwife, music has taken me down some curious rabbit holes. My rock in the storms of life. Musical highs? Local radio station in The Gambia when the country was sealed off during the military coup of 94, Seeing Ravi Shankar play with his 15 yr old daughter at Womad 1999 ( I think) followed by Burning Spear in the outdoor arena. And getting to the pan African arts and music festi in Cote D'Ivoire 1999. Lows? My Mum not letting me go to the Deeside gig of Bob Marley when I was 13 - his last ever performance, full of druggies she said ha! Oh and my Mum meeting Tito Puente 1955 in Liverpool (jealous!!!). But hey she did take me to hear Simon Rattle conduct the Liverpool Phil lots of times so I have to let her off..... Achievements? Playing the piano accordion so badly I scare small animals and children. And my 11 yr old twins loving The Dead Kennedy's and The Clash.
