It's one thing to step into a program with a demonstrated commitment to baseball. It's another thing entirely to commit your foreseeable future to a school that has never before really demonstrated that baseball is a high priority. And tradition? Well, let's just say that Coach Spotts is out to create a new tradition. And he's off to a good start, winning the 2015 ODAC Coach of the Year Award!
Ben Spotts is another of those guys who comes from a coaching family and, in fact, got to play for his father. He grew up in Virginia and played his college ball at cross-town rival Bridgewater College, before heading to James Madison to get his graduate degree.
In this episode we talk a lot about what he's done in the short time he's been at Eastern Mennonite (win!) and the plans he has for the future,
