Playing tracks by
Lightnin Hopkins and Herbie Hancock.
This show was 40th in the global blues chart.
My guest and friend this evening, Phil Friend, brought in an interesting selection of CD tracks and talked about his own new CD, Gentle Favour.
Who was the last artist/group who produced a CD that was half electric and then the same set of songs acoustic? I can't remember but I know someone did. That is what Phil has done too. His songs have depth. They grow on you. I found myself joining in on air. It's not often that happens.
The Third Hour was almost entirely non-stop blues rock. It seems to be a format that folks like. Might make it a regular Monday night blast if that's what you want.
Please let me know.I love feed-back.
