In memoriam Miriam Makeba, part one

In memoriam Miriam Makeba, part one

Playing tracks by

Miriam Makeba and Miriam Makeba feat. Dizzy Gillespie.

I had a dream one month ago about Mama Africa and one of her non-existing records. The awakening with my hands grasping the air was of course sad, but then i've collected 7 of her LPs in my flat and played this set on that day in my weekly radioshow called Bossa Bom Dia at Tilos Radio Budapest, 90.3 FM. So I felt some better.

There are 3 among my memorial mixes, which don't have yet a second part (because I have to dig yet some additional good records of those artist to be able to play another good part) and this is unfortunately one of those. But already digged some another good records of her, so after I uploaded the second (and where exists) third parts of my other memorial mixes (like of Jimmy Smith, Oscar Peterson, Maynard Ferguson, Ray Bryant, Nina Simone or Gábor Szabó) I can play a second part of this "series" too. :) And thanks for the link!
