A Carburetor or Fuel Injection?
I'm a gear head. I have been since I was a young boy. I blame this fact about myself on my big sisters. Their boyfriends had cool cars. In fact, my sisters even had their share of 60's iconic muscle. Tri-five Chevy's, early 60's impala's, a killer Barracuda, even a couple of stand out half-ton trucks. Carburetors on every one of them.
One of my favorites was a 1970 Firebird Formula 400. Belonging to my oldest sister, that car was a rocket. Oh! Except for that hesitation, so common to anything with a . When my friend John and I said we could fix it, and the was less than $20 at the time, she was all over it. I think she had a few second thoughts when the old Quadrajet was in pieces all over her garage floor.
This story has a point. If you think a carburetor is more simple than fuel injection, think again. If it wasn't for the fact that my friend John knew considerably more about the Quadrajet than I did, I'd probably still be sitting on my big sister's
