Is there a vol. 1?

The Slow Drift

There is a Vol. 1--made many years ago before the radio show. I'm not sure if it'll ever make it on the air, but perhaps?

kasperskov

You've done it again. What a sublime selection.

Crimson Brain

I love this mix. The transitions are so organic in both complimentary and eclectic ways. Such transitions always add perceptibly to the vibrance of a mix. I guess you had to leave a lot of tracks aside to build it.

You say pretty often that a track is from a "cassette". I'm wondering are those real cassettes or it's just a cool word from the ambient crowd? :)

The Slow Drift

Ha. Yeah, it's a cool word, but I only say it if I mean it! I usually say "cassette" if that's the only physical format in which the album is available. Such is the case with the Jefre Cantu-Ledesma album, "In Summer". I usually own the cassette if it's not available on LP or CD, but for playing stuff live over the air, I play the digital version because the radio station doesn't have a working cassette deck at the moment. Alas.
