Tom Snow, that’s a name you may or may not have heard of. Chances are you have heard his music. Tom Snow is a songwriter. Everyone from Barbra Streisand, The Tubes, and Ray Charles recorded his work. He recorded 3 solo albums on his own, but perhaps Tom Snow is best known for such titles as “Let’s Hear It For the Boy” sung by Deniece Williams for the film soundtrack to Footloose or Linda Ronstadt’s “Don’t Know Much” which she sung as a duet with Aaron Neville…or Barry Manilow’s recording of “Somewhere Down the Road” just to name a few of the well known songs Tom Snow has composed. He’s won or been nominated for such awards as an Oscar, Emmy and Tony. He has won 15 BMI Millionaires awards for songs reaching a million or more plays on the radio. Tom Snow joins us for a rare interview and along the way we’ll be presenting a variety of his music.
