In this episode of "The (Not So) Hidden Agenda," host Stephanie Heck interviews the founder and executive director of The Colored Girls Museum, Vashti Dubois. Vashti talks about her museum, which she started in her home almost 4 years ago, and its aim of documenting the "ordinary extraordinary" lives of colored girls. She also discusses the relationship between her prior work in theatre and her museum work, the importance of sacred spaces, acknowledgment, and being recognized, and the influence of her own personal journey on her work. Vashti and TCGM will also be hosting the Common Field's Pre-Convening Program on 4/25/19. Check the event out online at https://www.commonfield.org/convenings/.
