Author & Musician Paul Hawkins on Songwriting and Disability

Paul Hawkins is the lead singer of Paul Hawkins & the Awkward Silences and the author of Bad Santas, published by Simon and Schuster UK in 2013.

He also has a number of unseen disabilities that affect his heart, bladder and bowels. Ahead of the Awkward Silences' gig at Club Attitude on 26 March 2014 at Islington Assembly Rooms, Paul talks to friend and fellow musician Felix Hunt of the Count of Chateau Noir about how growing up with disabilities has impacted on his songwriting.
