Norwegian painter Edvard Munch may be best known for The Scream, but independent scholar and curator Jill Lloyd reveals how he influenced contemporary art. She curated "Munch and Expressionism," an exhibit which is now at Neue Galerie New York through June 13th, organized in partnership with The Munch Museum, Oslo. The exhibit examines Munch’s influence on other German and Austrian artists, as well is their influence upon him.
"Munch and Expressionism" is now at Neue Galerie New York (1048 5th Ave.) through June 13th. For more information, visit their website.
