Down Every Road #74: Ken Burns Country Musicby WNEX: The Creek
Bill Monroe, Johnny Cash, Don Gibson, George Jones and Willie Nelson.
I love this song and what it represents. I'm so glad those two finally got together. It was sad to think that the man's mother hid those letters from him for so long. By the way, I saw a biography today of June Carter by her son John Carter Cash, but decided not to read it, as I was concerned it might not be as frank as I like a biography to be. Have you read that book? If it's still in the free bin, I might pick it up on Thursday.
I was referring to "I'm thinking tonight of my blue eyes in the above comment." By the way, I had completely forgotten "Ida Red," but I heard it quite often growing up.
