Designing a More Equal Workplace

If subconscious biases lead employers to hire more homogeneous workforces, there are also conscious, data-driven decisions we can make to ensure more diverse workplaces. 
Iris Bohnet, behavioral economist at Harvard University and author of What Works: Gender Equality by Design (Belknap Press, 2016), draws on research to propose ways to make gender equality less about changing individual minds and more about changing systems.
Bohnet, who is also director of the Women and Public Policy Program and co-chair of the Behavioral Insights Group at the Kennedy School of Government,
