Andy Poniros hosts. Our guest today is Dr. Carl Barratt, a professor of mechanical engineering at the University of New Haven, in Connecticut. His research interests are broad and include nonlinear systems, chaotic dynamics, vibrations, and most recently, chemical kinetics in prebiotic earth. He received his PhD in the area of High Energy Particle Theory from Cambridge University, and spent his childhood a few miles from Newton’s birthplace. Dr. Barratt discusses the life & works of Sir Isaac Newton, one of the most influential scientists of all time.
