Shared spectrum technology enables carriers to offer stadiums, shopping malls or remote locations be

Kurt Schaubach, CTO of Federated Wireless, discussed the Spectrum Access System and the Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) with Don Witt of The Channel Daily News from Telecom Reseller.

Federated Wireless completed interoperability tests with Alphabet Access via the Spectrum Access System (SAS).  This is a major milestone in validating the operational viability of the Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) shared spectrum solution in the 3.5 GHz band as envisioned by the Federal Communications Commission.  This technology will be used by mobile network operators, cable operators, enterprises, venues and a host of other innovative applications which will improve and extend wireless service.

Implementations are planned for the second half of 2017.
