France-IX has announced that they will be supporting 100Gb service for their members. Franck Simon, President at France-IX, continues to explain to Don Witt of The Channel Daily News, a TR publication that their bandwidth demand has been based on current traffic which is composed of video streaming, content and gaming primarily. There is telephone demands and some IoT demands as well. Currently support for G3 & G4 is provided. As the technology evolves for G5, it will also be supported.
Franck goes on to say the France-IX exchange provides a Peering service for members composed of Operators, Providers and Internet networks all connected together. The Peering service is a point to point communication between two networks.
