Most of us feel 'I' -- ego, myself, my source of consciousness -- to be a center of awareness and a source of action that resides in the middle of a bag of skin. And so, we have the conception of ourselves as a skin encapsulated ego.
— Alan Watts
Looking out at the world from inside our bag of skin can feel alienating. Wondering at how we are received, we long to belong.
Being part of a larger consciousness, an ant doesn't have these concerns. Sometimes in the dance, we can tap into this awareness, feeling part of the one organism moving together.
