Hope your Christmas was Jolly, if not, here’s a new episode to get you to the new year.
This week on the podcast I have on Chelsea Pope to take a tour through rap history. Since Chelsea came in with admittedly little knowledge of Rap Music or Hip Hop Culture so I decided to take her through some of the most important/my favorite moments from Rap History(80s-Today) and help explain the current beef between rap fans who like Trap Rap vs “Conscious Rap” using a Beatles metaphor.
My favorite moments include Lil Wayne’s LEGENDARY 2012 court deposition that we watch & spend all 5 minutes laughing like idiots(lower volume for that part).
I also introduce Chelsea to the Electric Bugaloo franchise of films, take great joy in Chelsea’s visceral reactions to 2Pac saying he had sex with Notorious BIG’s wife on “Hit Em Up.” I show Chelsea Kanye West' Greatest Awards show Speech, Best Rap Album at 2005 Grammys, which hyped both of us up like crazy, and his greatest performance, “Runaway” at the 201
