Supermutant Records is musicians collective started in Sheffield england in 2000ish .
We are united around the beleifs that the originality, feeling ,soul and the message of music is more important than what genre it is (so we include everything from folk to hip hop to jungle to funk to ... you get the idea) ,and that musicians shouldn't have to sell out to big dumb corporations to make a living .We can run a label and get the music out to folks ourselves.
In these shows we play selections of music from the label,interviews & live recordings . The shows were originally called mutant hour cos we intended to make them an hour long , but that didn't happen so now were making out they're called that cos whatever hour you put 'em on mutates .
