Chart positions

This upload was 3rd in the #interview chart.

JG Thirlwell is interviewed in Brooklyn, NYC in 1986 by Tim Ritchie for his radio show on Sydney's Triple J station. The interview is cut up, sampled, stretched and reassembled by John Jacobs, Tim's producer back in Sydney, resulting in a stream of consciousness of Foetal Excellence.
This 30 year old piece of radio collage was recovered and remastered by DJ HDD in Sydney and is the first in a series uncovering Australia's previously lost radiophonic works.

This is my thing! Have all the vinyl right from Spite, some difficult to get and some difficult to get into. Jim always pushed the boundaries and on seeing him live in '88, in London, the deal was signed. Wiseblood was the the thing, Stumbo, killed me as did Poland Baby. Nothing like Foetus, there will be nothing like Foetus. Great job, love it.")

i love Foetus.
a very interestingly ball crushing form of acid drenched music.
however, i would have hoped with this being one of those DJ "vs" mixes, their would have been some interesting remixturing somehow beyond funny echos on the interviews.

i take that back, i only just noticed the accompanying written bit!
turns out it's an oldie recording where it might have been a bit difficult back then beyond adding funny echos and cut-ups

I remember listening to this on JJJ(not 'Triple J') back in 1986, it was a pretty big deal back then.

:D I'd not heard Gums Bleed before. Great to hear this.
