The 4th of July. Memorial Day. Labor Day. Birthdays. Anniversaries. These are all days on which we celebrate, remember, and are encouraged. This is what this day –Reformation Sunday – is all about. We celebrate, remember, and are encouraged in who we are as Lutheran Christians. We celebrate the Gospel restored to us; we remember the courage of the one who the Lord used to begin it; and we are encouraged to live it out in our lives today. On this day Lutheran Christians declare, “Here we stand!...Praise God!”
