Anthropologic archaeologist Alan Goodale from Hamilton College and staff anthropologist with the Autonomous Sinixt, Lori Barkley, discuss 3000 year old villages in the Slocan Valley here in the Kootenays that demonstrate a continuous presence of the Sinixt in the region for thousands of years to present day. We learn why they have been designated as an "extinct" people by the Canadian government.
