Having started out as an alternative DJ, MYNA works to blend darker sounds with traditional afro sounds, most notably present in Gqom music, her current obsession.
MYNA will be taking you through two hours of all her tastes have to offer, moving from modern and traditional afrobeat, stomping through techno and afrohouse, and landing heavy on metal/punk and Gqom. This show features tunes from Rema, MYNA's current afrobeat favourite, all the way to bands like the Nova Twins which are breaking ground and stereotypes in Punk and alternative music.
