State of the Arts NYC 03/10/2017 with host Savona Bailey-McClain

Weekly broadcast on WBAI FM Radio and Tunein.com --This week are two filmmakers presenting at the Socially Relevant Film Festival. LUCAS JEDRZEJAK, Director of film Ketermaya and ANDRE FUAD, Director of the film Crossing the Line. Then we have AJA BURRELL WOOD, Harlem based ethnomusicologist and curator from Detroit who currently teaches African American music at CUNY; City College and Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music. NICK ZAMMUTO, well known for his experimental folktronica outfit The Books, currently lives and works in Vermont. He is apart of the Ecstatic Music Festival. We will have another museum review by our contributor IRENE JAVORS on the MoMA exhibition, A Revolutionary Impulse: The Rise of the Russian Avant-Garde. And we have the Director Brent Buell talking about the one man show unFRAMED with Iyaba Ibo Mandingo.
