This week on State of the Arts NYC, we kick off the New Year with artist Saya Woolfalk. She will create a new installation project for the upcoming Outsider Art Fair. This Curated Space is in response to the late artist Eddie Owens Martin's visionary environment Pasaquan. The installation will be in the main hall for the fair which begins January 19th in NYC at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea. Then we have Alicia Hall Moran, star of the opera performance -- Breaking Ice: The Battle of the Carmens. Breaking the Ice will debut in Bryant Park next week at Riverbank State Park in West Harlem. We also have joining us Gregory Spears, composer of the opera Fellow Travelers . These performances are apart of the Prototype Festival which begins, January 5th. And we wrap the show with Rafael Herri-Ferri, architect and photographer for the exhibition All the Queens Houses that is displayed at the Architectural League of New York.
