Today we continued our series on what we believe as Christians. What do we hold tightly with a closed hand and what are those things that we hold loose in an open palm? To guide us through this series we have been using the Apostle's Creed. As early as AD 140 Christians have been using this statement of faith to be a kind of blueprint to outline what it is we hold dear. Like any blueprint it doesn't give every little detail but it does provide those firm foundations that keep us on track.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
