Today we continue our series in Genesis. Over the last few months we've seen the continuing the story of a man named Joseph. We’ve seen this roller coaster of a ride he’s been on from favored son to slave, from head house keeper to chained in an Egyptian prison. And today we might see that the result of God’s presence with him is that he ascribes every good gift directly to God. Joseph knows what Paul knows… “That God’s power working in him is capable to do infinitely more then he could possibly ask or imagine." (Eph 3:20) When questioned by Pharaoh Joseph points not to himself, his abilities, or his family connections but instead he points directly God.
So what does the life look like that ascribes glory to God? Scripture gives us three really good examples.
3. Jesus Christ
" 4 though I myself have reason for confidence in the flesh also. If anyone else thinks he has reason for confidence in the flesh,
