Personal Attitudes in the Kingdom: Love - 11.15 am 6/5/12 (Luke 6:27-36)

Personal Attitudes in the Kingdom: Love - 11.15 am 6/5/12 (Luke 6:27-36)

Love your neighbour as yourself: Jesus uses the Greek word agape to describe the love we should have for neighbour – active concern for another person, irrespective of his or her attractiveness, and regardless of the likelihood of reciprocation. Donald refers to Jesus' teaching in Luke 6 and the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10: 25-37) to show that this is a love that should extend beyond our church community. Our motivation is the example of Jesus in his incarnation and death for each one of us.
