Today's Magic Mixture takes a trip to California to meet folk singer/songwriter David Nigel Lloyd, who borrows or steals from traditional folk (whatever it might be -Celtic, American or even African) whenever it suits his purposes. Alternatively, you can hear him alter trad verse and melody according to his his whims and fancies in his "Kings, Rivers and Curses" album, which is extensively presented in the show. In the first part of this week's Magic Mixture, you can also enjoy a wide range of psychedelic/acid folk from the New Millennium, a music genre surprisingly revived worldwide since the mid-'00s.
