No more four - this is 2015, folks, and the new year calls for new tunes. Mind, given the holiday hiatus, I can't stock this slap-full with fresh produce, but you can browse through a smattering of Festive 50 hits (ranks not disclosed in this broadcast) and other delayed discoveries.
What we DO have, though, are some exquisite imports from the Scottish Song, By Toad label; sizzly POW-pop from The Fireworks; seedy electro-house from Pour Le Plaisir; demi-funk rambles from Jumble Hole Clough; the latest from Eric Copeland; a nacho-banana split between the Bordellos and Schizo Fun Addict; and musings about Bruce Lee's legacy from Jude Cowan Montague and Wim Oudijk. Good tidings ahead, eh?
(Art for today - the pop-goes-the-paint-can cover of the new Fireworks LP, from Andy Hart.)
