Chart positions

This show was 2nd in the global soul chart, 2nd in the global funk chart, 3rd in the global disco chart and 4th in the global pop chart.

Last Thursday on Sep. 12, 2019, Barry White would have been 75 years old. A special thanks to new Mixcloud friend "Duchess Rumph" for the heads up! I‘m following her request to "feature him as a tribute to his talent".

You‘ll hear Barry White (3 times), (his music by) Love Unlimited, Gloria Gaynor, Soul Express, Millie Jackson, Kool & The Gang, Patti LaBelle, Junie, Family Plann, The Ovations Featuring Louis Williams, Johnnie Taylor, Real Thing, Candi Staton, Johnny "Guitar" Watson, James Brown.

A real Disco inferno :)

Please enjoy this eternally free show!

TSP Nice rework on that old cover shot!

The Soul Preacher

Thank you much, Brian. I have that LP on the British PYE label. The rear side says. Art Concept: Barry White. 1974 PYE International Records NSPL 28 191. The full title of the album is: [The Love Unlimited Orchestra. Rhapsody In White. Arranged & conducted by Barry White. Featuring "Love’s Theme".] Unfortunately I didn’t find a credit for the photographer of this awesome shot.

wow! i love a good soul/disco/funky set but i need it to be a mix of familiar and unfamiliar to get in the right head and this is that mix! Kickin it off high tempo, the Barry White medley, never heard that Kool &the Gang song -one of new faves! Thank You!!

The Soul Preacher

Very well said. Thank you. Even when I play a rather 'popular set' I'm always adding some space for the unexpected and excellent tunes. And I appreciate when listeners can feel it!
