VINYL ONLY !!! How wonderful the music still sounds TODAY!!

WOW! I'm sorry to say that I hadn't heard the Q version of Hummin', that's a killer!

The Soul Preacher

It really is. From Q’s album GULA MATARI, recorded here from the original A&M LP (SP-3030), Ron sounds too amazing. Enjoy!

Rough Remarks Radio

So phunky!!! GREAT selection!

The Soul Preacher

Yes, sir. Brother Ron Carter made it so. Shhhhucks!

The Tempest

Incredible tribute. This was very nice. Thanks SP!

Nice set ! I love Ron Carter and had the brief pleasure of speaking with him after he performed with Cedar Walton in the 80s in NY.

The Soul Preacher

That's a great story and you can consider yourself being a lucky man seeing these two giants of jazz together. I was in the first row when Ron Carter played in my town together with Mulgrew Miller (RIP) and a young guitarist whose name I can't recall. And I could take some great photos during that night but didn't have the chance to talk to Mr. Carter. I love his work, too! Thanks for listening!

Magda Brand (-ODZLJ)

Great musician and super selection! Herbie Mann's track is so cool. Thanks for the beautiful music, Soul Preacher.

The Soul Preacher

Thanks for listening, Magda! Ray Charles recorded the song a bit earlier in 1966 and Herbie's version is a very beautiful and flattering cover.

David van der Linden

Heerlijke muziek, funky, groovy jaZz

Fantastic selection! What a treat to listen to these tracks from vinyl.

Dj Mr Lob

A wonderful bassist and beautiful selection of tracks he's featured on, thank you

The Soul Preacher

Maybe the most recorded bassist in the world. From what I've heard Ron Carter plays on more than 2,200 albums. The one with Roberta Flack he remembered as one of his top 20 (as a sideman). Thanks for listening!
