Masters Of Groove (old and new)

Masters Of Groove (old and new)

Chart positions

This show was 1st in the global vinyl chart, 3rd in the global funk chart, 13th in the global soul chart and 14th in the global r&b chart.

Masters of Groove are coming 'atcha'. Old and new, well known and almost completely unknown. As always I tried to create a special atmosphere for a small but enthusiastic group of listeners. I hope to welcome you in that line. Anyway please enjoy this very eclectic compilation that embraces several decades of recorded quality grooves. It's a party!

Mate, just saw you've added the set list, very cool form.

The Soul Preacher

Thanks MJ. All my mixes are time-stamped plus most of them have the tracklist in the comments. You can always see what's playing.

Don't pat me on the back....by J.W.Anderson - can't find the lyrics for this amazing classic - memorabilia

I thought the same thing. Such a cool & outspoken song. That's why he made the cover for this compilation.

Total joy hearing all those great songs for the first time. Loved the line in Skate, “You smell better than barbeque.” Not sure that pickup line would work other than at Franklin’s in Austin. Les McCann song blew my mind. Leroy Hutson is too often overlooked. Thanks for giving these greats some love!

The Soul Preacher

Thank you much J. As you know I have a liking for the too often overlooked tracks. I'm glad some people understand my work including yourself. Much appreciated!
