Chart positions

This upload was 1st in the #northern soul chart, 9th in the #soul chart and 9th in the #funk chart.

Original 60s and 70s Soul Music. Classic artists performing rare and underappreciated songs.

Picture: modified T-Neck single by the Isley Brothers (SG 94). Track 14 is from that record. This set is loaded with gems as 2014 was the year I brought many (almost forgotten) records to my Mac. I’m using the mixes to stream them in my living room as my records are somewhere else. You can take advantage from that by simply doing the same. It was so joyous to transfer The Four Tops 45 (track 24) as this was one of my first records at all. It really took me back. Enjoy!

BTW, Part 2 is dedicated to The Soulsisters:

Chris Kenner is a new name to me Heinrich. Still listening even if I don't have time to comment. Much appreciated.

The Soul Preacher

You are welcome Iain. Chris Kenner (1929 – 1976) was a Soul Man from New Orleans. It's worth mentioning that he has recorded "Land Of A Thousand Dances" already in 1963, so three years before "Wicked Pickett" climbed the charts with this classic. A quick check says I have already included it to my "SUE-Records-Special". In case you want to check out. It's here:

More authentic Soul, Gospel and Jazz from New Orleans is on this channel:

You make me know I really must build up my Lou Rawls collection. Awesome mix!

Mr.K's Soul Essentials

Like Teddy sings: The more I get (of this soulful stuff) the more I want it! What a show dear preacher, this is a real treat!

Magda Brand-Ortiz de Zevallos
