Chart positions

This show was 4th in the global world music chart, 5th in the global folk chart, 12th in the global jazz chart and 14th in the global soul chart.

I think this is simply a great listen. At times sweet and with a thoughtful ending.

Such a lovely set! The Brazilian touch was very welcome and that Mireille Matthieu track so unexpected!

The Soul Preacher

Big thanks G. French vocalist Mireille Mathieu was very popular in western Germany in the 1970's. She recorded a lot of songs in German language but on this album, which has no specific title and is simply named after her, she only sings in French. One day I'll have to play „Wo ist unser Land“ which actually is a great Gospel tune! Who would have known? :) But I admit most things she recorded didn't speak to me as they were to close to German „Schlagermusik“. Then again some tunes have a fantastic timbre and I love to play unexpected things. Also I think I'm aging, LOL :)
