SoulfulFella

Thanks again brother. Truly enjoyed your set the other night. I always enjoy your sets. It was great to catch up a bit. Thanks again for the listen and I have totally agree on all the records you listed. Essential. Betty La Vette is one of my all time favorites and my wife found it before me at Pittsburgh Recordfest and it was pretty inexpensive as well. So we of course had to have her sign it when we saw her live. Wonderfully talented lady she is.

Nice one! ....another funk one I bought on Saturday - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRZvPxrmR-g - great sound (Bus People Express - Augusta Georgia) - I wouldn't mind being on that bus ...Keep The Faith - Best Wishes Jas :)

SoulfulFella

You never cease to surprise me. Top track for sure. That one would blow up any dance floor.

Hey SoulfulFella – As expected another FABULOUS set of tunes – these shows never disappoint!
ALL SOULstyles/FUNK/REGGAE/ROCKnROLL/JUMP JIVE/X-OVER/DEEP/LATIN soul – you name it you’ll find it in your mixes – keep up the great work. Cheers Jas :)
A few tunes you’ll enjoy:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCNgIAi0bv0 – Joe Hinton (Got You On My Mind)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fm660vIn8Tg – Aloe Blacc (THE MAN)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDPI-O4jCZI – Calvin Harris (Love Recipe)

SoulfulFella

All fantastic songs. The Aloe Blacc is all over television these days. Here that song all the time. That Calvin Harris if fantastic! I just love that the video has the Scottish dance artist as the photo and not the real Calvin Harris. This dude wasn't even born when this song was released. Ha! That Joe Hinton song is great. I used to see it at Jerry's records but sadly never picked up a copy. Thanks again man!

Jas Bhabra

.....Like the LT Davis version too. It's great the youngsters are getting into OLD SKOOL & timeless tracks. Joe Hinton will come by again for sure - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L26VKUhXLZc - Dr Love (Bobby Sheen - feelgood track) - Best Wishes - Jas :)

SoulfulFella

Thanks again Jas. Always wanted Dr. Love but haven't been able to find a copy. It pops up on evilbay every now and again but I don't ever bid high enough. That Fabulous Shalimars record is tight. Good ole' funk. Reminds of a mixture of early Harvey Scales and an Early J.B. production.

SoulfulFella

Thank you!!
