After the success of Madlib’s Blunted In The Bomb Shelter Volume 1, the natural choice of DJ for a sequel album was California’s DJ Shortkut. Internationally renowned as one of the best scratch DJs on the planet (he is the only person to have been part of the line-up of BOTH the world’s best scratch teams – Q-Bert’s Invisibl Skratch Piklz, and The Beat Junkies), he also has an obsessive love for reggae music, as evidenced in this genre-spanning mix CD.

'Originally released and pressed in the UK (Antidote Records) in 2004.

They basically gave me a catalog and I picked thru the Trojan Record library. Luckily it had a lot of Studio One and vintage Greensleeves stuff in it- pure vintage/foundation reggae and dancehall tunes.

This mix meant a lot because it was my chance to show the selector side of me. A huge step up from the "Inna Dancehall Stylee" mix I made which just had a bunch of regular known tunes.'
