SS#10 finds Sonic Lush selecting just over an hours' mix of tunes that elicit an emotional response in him, due to melody, texture, memory, or??? This may be from a current condition of flux in regard to muscular, skeletal, emotional, mental, spiritual, and other changes occurring in him as we listen. No talking on today's show. I need to get my mic sorted. The Horace Silver is new to me, but the other 15 tracks have been part of my sonic tapestry in one way or another for some time. In the case of the Hiroshima track, I got the tape 'Another Place' back in '86. Wore it out. Track #8, Bernard Moss' 'Blue Sun' is so beautiful, it makes me want to climb up into the speakers and disappear; a conduit track, if you will. I recorded Kelly Wyse' live piano performance on track 11 back in 2007? with a Royer SF12 stereo ribbon microphone. Sheltered Sound isn't just a radio show, it's also the umbrella under which all my sonic guises live, including my recording engineer self. Much love.
