ElectrAfrique in for Emily Dust (25/02/2021)

ElectrAfrique in for Emily Dust (25/02/2021)

In this episode, Cortega (a co-founder of the ElectrAfrique collective) takes care of the first hour, bringing you classic ElectrAfrique vibes from across the Atlantic ocean, ranging from Afro-Colombian, Afro-Peruvian, Brazilian and Haitian electro to Congolese amapiano, new generation ndombolo, as well as a few remixes of west African classics and of course a healthy dose of afro house, in particular Cortega's own "Kan Tolo" song, which was just released in December 2020 in collabo with DJ Satelite and Noumoucounda. The diversity of this mix kind of shows how, in music, there is community that transcends borders, origins, genres or languages, which is what ElectrAfrique stands for. The second set is presented by Buruntuma, a super talented DJ from Guinea-Bissau based in Portugal, who is one of the rising stars on the afro house scene. His set draws upon some of his favourite ancestral house and afro tech songs from across the Continent.
