Sobriety is based in Tokyo and it is easy to tell she learned her art with the greatest Japanese selectors.
Tapping into a wide range of influences and full of devotion for the scene that raised her, she has carved a unique position for herself, bridging the gap between deep-listening soundscapes and rolling beats. She likes to play with opposites, crafting selections far from conventions, where jazz, raw house and rave music meet.
Usually found at Tokyo's venues known for their audiophile sound systems, she is also part of queer/femme party collective WAIFU which has been running club nights aiming to be a safer space for any person regardless of gender, sexuality, race or age. She runs the show "The Greater Good" every two months on LYL Radio.
