Playing tracks by

Rothko, Slow Six, Johann Johannsson, Johann Joannsson, His Name Is Alive and more.

The second (VIP) mix I played on a small-scale but very ear- and spirit-friendly event Om Tree, a regular chillout night held by a group of enthusiasts in Riga during the course of 2010.

After the first 3 hour set has ended and almost all people were gone, we sat in silence for some time... and then decided that we don't want to go. Then some of those magic moments happened, when tracks started to jump into my hands without any seeming conscious selection/control from my side, and it all sounded so bewildering... We sat or lied on the mats mesmerized...

Sometimes it's indefinitely more satisfying to play to a handful of people who intensely feel and need the music right that moment, than to a hall full of strangers the majority of whom just don't really care.

Great find, tonepoet! Awesome mix, thanks .:snobo:.!

This is REALLY great, and I'm really not sure how it got so little plays. Great music, amazing segues, and this mix brought me elation and anticipation as it was unfolding. I would love to host this on Spaceman's Transmissions. Email me at gtr(dot)tone(at)gmail(dot)com. Peace.

Hey thanks a lot tonepoet! As to little plays, prolly because it's mixcloud - it takes a lot of effort to promote its podcasts, which I just don't do. On my Soundcloud, the picture is totally different though.
