Born in upstate New York, Meier spent most of his life in Chicago, first growing up in the western suburbs before moving to the city proper nearly 20 years ago. His credentials, if you want to call them that, are pretty much impeccable. He's worked at key Chicago record shops Reckless, Dave's Records and, most importantly, Gramaphone.
