Summer has just ended and yet seems so far away. I was torn between the idea of producing a splenetic mixtape or rather to seek an illustration of the autumn beauties. I finally decided to do both. The end of summer is a time of contradictions, and that is why this mixtape is made of pop, folk and psychedelic music, in a way (hopefully) to translate the indeterminacy of a year period that remains my favorite.
This hour of music is thus deliberately very paced (J.J. Cale, Ultimate Painting ...) like if we wanted to dance on the leaves. It is also poetic (Chris Cohen, Yo La Tengo) and somewhat enigmatic (Deerhunter, Girls, Connan Mockasin). In short, here is a mixtape to be listened at the terrace of a cafe in the company of our loved ones, or by the fireplace during an evening full of promise. As the last three words suggest, "summertime is over, fly then".
