The introduction of a new mixtape is always a great pleasure. This one, the fifth in the series, honors the most legendary year of music history: 1977, the year when Punk Rock exploded, the main reason why we now speak about post '77 era. And because Punk and Power Pop are best friends, it was unthinkable not to include some of the best hits like Milk 'N' Cookies and Cheap Trick.
Right at the CBGB's exit (see the mixtape artwork, photograph by David Godlis), the Ramones are never far away, Punk Rock is forging a whole new generation of artists who let his rage exploded for the first time and the riffs reflect the omnipotence of a music born in the streets. A snarling and romantic mixtape that I hope will satisfy your most animal desires. It should almost be prohibited to listen to it before the daylight is totally vanished...
