Well, here we go. The first in our new mix series: SickManSick 01.

I’m responsible for the first one. It’s a 90 minute jam of seriously slow grooves. It started off as a bit of an experiment: playing tunes 10-15 bpm slower than their original tempo. I loved the sexiness of 115 bpm so much I started searching out slower house beats (or at least ones that work well at 115). There are some absolutely amazing songs in there. Really some of my favourite songs of all time.

The mix also forms a response to the Chill Mix put together by my RAW CUTS radio show co-host James. He asked me to record a mix that would provide a different perspective on what constitutes a ‘chill mix’. And here it is.
