“Wake Up and Live” was a 1937 film based on a show-biz feud between radio commentator Walter Winchell and band leader Ben Bernie. It was remade as a vehicle for Frank Sinatra on THE LUX RADIO THEATER #427 CBS on Feb 21, 1944. In this radio spoof, Sinatra plays a mike-shy singer with a great voice who is tricked into performing by his girlfriend. He's billed as “The Phantom Troubadour”. With James Gleason, Bob Crosby, Marilyn Maxwell, Bea Benaderet, Cathy Lewis, Charles Seel, Ed Emerson, Edward Marr, James Dunn, John McIntire, Arthur Q.
