Scripture: JOHN 20:1-18
It’s been quite a week, hasn’t it? On Tuesday, bombings in two busy Brussels transportation centers killed thirty-one people and injured over 300, yet another devastating act of terrorism to unnerve us. Then on an otherwise quiet Maundy Thursday, at Hamlet Village, a mere half-mile from here in Chagrin Falls, Terri Treadway and Catherine Sutter were killed, alarming many and shocking us with the reminder that violence can crop up anywhere. The news, yet again, has been violent and discomfiting.
My guess is that you’ve known your own more personal challenges, as well. There is likely a parent here whose child no longer talks with them, for reasons that cannot be fathomed.
